Who Are We?
First, we would like to share the meaning behind our name. BioAme is formed from the combination of Bio and Ame. Bio represents biology and life sciences, while Ame comes from Latin, meaning spirit or soul. Together, BioAme reflects our belief that science is not only about facts and formulas, but also about curiosity, passion, and the human drive to understand life itself.
We created BioAme to represent a space where scientific learning is guided by curiosity and purpose. We believe curiosity is the foundation of science, and that meaningful learning begins when students are encouraged to ask questions, explore beyond what is taught in class, and think critically about the world around them. By connecting biology and medicine to real-world contexts, we aim to help students develop a genuine and lasting interest in how science shapes human health, technology, and the future.
Through short, engaging, and easy-to-read articles, we aim to make complex medical and biological concepts understandable for middle and high school students across all grades.
